Croton-Harmon Maintenance Facility, New York

The Croton-Harmon Maintenance Facility located at Croton-on-Hudson, NY, has been servicing trains for more than a century, and undergoing renovations since 2001. The improvements were paramount, as prior to the renovation the tracks were not long enough to service an entire train at once. Extending the tracks to service an entire train will allow the maintenance yard to keep their 98% on time record.

With the launch of Paramount’s new website, in the coming weeks we’d like to introduce you to some of the new features. This week we’ll focus on the new LEARN section. This is an area where we will be showcasing a variety of things from product information, announcements, news, and successful application stories, just to name a few. We already have a lot of information to peruse, with more on the way! We’re hoping it will be a popular “go to” place for our viewers in the near future.

When it comes to serving some of the best French and Japanese dishes in Los Angeles, proper lighting is of utmost importance. As you step foot inside of CHAYA, you will notice the modern and chic subtleties that are prevalent throughout the room. You help yourself to one of the twelve seats available at the sushi bar and watch as the CHAYA chefs prepare the best sushi you have ever had. You then decide to order an entrée and ask not what is good, but what is the best?

Caltrans District 7 Headquarters, California

Think of a state office building in downtown Los Angeles as a canvas on which to create significant architectural design. When the California Department of Transportation, or Caltrans, committed to building a replacement headquarters for their 7th district, they gave the canvas to architectural firm Morphosis.

Thom Mayne, who founded Morphosis, recently won the prestigious international Pritzker Prize for architecture. Working with him on the District 7 headquarters was project architect Pavel Getov and project manager Silvia Kuhle. Contracting was handled by the Clark Construction Group.
